Kentucky women’s basketball junior center, DeNesha Stallworth was named SEC Player of the Week after her performance against Depaul and Middle Tennessee. Stallworth is averaging team highs of 16.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists for this week.
Stallworth hit the 1,000-point-mark in her career in the first half against Depaul, earning the milestone in only 79 games. After both of last weeks games, her current total is 1,030 career points. Against Depaul, Stallworth finished the game with her second double-double of the season and 14th of her career.
Following Depaul, the cats played Middle Tennessee and Stallworth helped power the team to get the victory. Stallworth tallied 16 points and a career best with five assists, and two blocks.
