Boomslang is a three-day art and music festival held in multiple venues in Lexington, Kentucky. Brought to you by UK’s student radio, WRFL 88.1, Boomslang is dedicated to bringing non-commercial music along with other art forms to the Bluegrass.
Expanding off this event comes Queerslang, a Boomslang satellite event, highlighting the LGBTIQQA community. On September 21st, four free one-hour workshops will be offered at West Sixth Brewing covering a range of topics from bike maintenance to LGBTIQQA issues. Then at 10 pm, head to Cosmic Charlie’s for a late night dance party with Heatsick, ITAL, The Blow, and Jeanne Vomit-Terror and Ed Sunspot. Cosmic Charlie’s will also be featuring artwork by Travis Keene.
