Lexington mayoral candidates Mayor Jim Newberry and Vice Mayor Jim Gray will appear at a forum at the University of Kentucky on Oct. 20, the University of Kentucky announced today. The forum is co-sponsored by the Scripps Howard First Amendment Center and the League of Women Voters.
The forum is set for 6 p.m. on Oct. 20 in the small ballroom of the UK Student Center. Kelsey Hayes, vice president of the UK student body, will moderate the forum. UK multimedia professor Kakie Urch is the coordinator.
Newberry and Gray were the top vote-getters in the primary election held last May. The general election is Nov. 2.
