The highlight of week 8 in the NFL goes to Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who stole the show in the Lions’ 31-30 comeback victory over the Dallas Cowboys at Ford Field Sunday.
Johnson caught 14 passes for 329 yards and a touchdown, individually out-gaining the Cowboys 61 yards. He finished seven yards high of the single-game receiving set by Flipper Anderson in 1989.
Johnson only scored one touchdown, but was tackled at the one yard line twice, although Detroit scored on both of those drives, including the game-winning touchdown with 12 seconds left on a quarterback sneak by Matthew Stafford.
Johnson’s 329 yards are also more than any other Lions’ receiver has amassed this season.
