It’s that time of year when Oscar favorites start hitting the big screen. Now Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave” is playing at the Kentucky Theater.
The film is based on Solomon Northup’s memoir about being kidnapped and sold into slavery. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Northup and Michael Fassbender as a malevolent slave owner.
The film’s current rating on Rotten Tomatoes sits at 96%. Not too shabby.
