It was another exciting night for the Kentucky women’s basketball team, but maybe not so much for the fans, as UK swept Lipscomb, leaving 116-49 on the scoreboard. Senior DeNesha Stallworth led the team in scoring in the first half, scoring nine of UK’s first 11 points and outscoring the Lipscomb Lady Bisons 34-8 and sitting at 57-29 by the half.
Stallworth tabbed a total of 12 points for the night, along with Linnae Harper, and they weren’t even the highest in scoring.
Bernisha Puckett scored 15 for the Wildcats and Janee Thompson added 16. But it was junior Bria Goss who let the Cats in scoring with a final total of 18 points.
Kentucky now looks forward to their next road game, set for this Sunday in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where they will face Middle Tennessee State. The Cats will take to the court at 5 p.m.
