The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees retreated for more than four hours Sunday to begin the process of searching for the next leader of the University.
The presidential search will be led by University Board of Trustees chairman Britt Brockman and a 12-member panel made of trustees, faculty, alumni and students of the University. The search committee plans to choose a search firm by mid-November. Brockman said some firms had already submitted proposals. The search committee hopes to pick the next president by May 2011.
Last month, Dr. Lee T. Todd, Jr., UK’s 11th president, announced he will retire at the end of June 2011 after 10 years of presiding over the flagship university of Kentucky.
