Students gathered Wednesday in the Commons Market to compete in the time-honored tradition of pumpkin carving.
Students from all walks of life and educational backgrounds showed up to show off their artistic talents and to compete for the title.
Awards will be given to the most creative artist and for the best overall design. They ranged from tombstones and witches to dopey faces.
In addition to the potential awards, all contestants received a complementary meal.
The commons staff is evaluating the designs and will notify the winners Friday.
