UK provost Kumble Subbaswamy, informally known as ” ‘Swamy,” will hold an informal chat Friday, Nov. 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Rm. 230 in the UK Student Center Addition.
The chat is sponsored by the UK University and Staff Senates and will present an opportunity to the university community to pick the brain of a man who is a potential candidate to replace current UK president Lee Todd following his retirement, effective June 2011.
Subbaswamy, a native of India, has served as UK’s provost since July 2006, his second stint at UK after formerly serving as UK’s Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences and as physics department chair.
As a proponent of Todd’s Top 20 Plan for UK, Subbawamy’s chat is sure to provide some insight into his vision for the university.
