Here’s the short-list of events happening today in Lexington:
- Little Kentucky Derby kicks off with the PingPong Ball drop at UK’s Patterson Office Tower at 12:15 p.m. Whoever finds the “lucky” pingpong ball will win tickets to the My Morning Jacket concert on Sunday.
- Tonight, LKD continues with the balloon glow (weather permitting)
- The Extreme Interviewing event happens 1-6 p.m.
- Lexington Fayette Urban-County Government council meeting takes place 6-9 p.m.
- “How Do I Become … a Registered Dietitian?” event is 7-8:30 p.m. in the W.T. Young Library
Other events to look forward to this weekend:
- My Morning Jacket, featuring Ben Sollee, concert at Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, 7-10 p.m.
- Earthdays in the Bluegrass continues throughout April with the Student Sustainability Council’s “Unconference” at the Lexington Public Library Friday; film screening of “Home” at Worsham Theater Friday 7-9 p.m.; Reforest the Bluegrass Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Dance Ensemble shows Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
