Friday
-Battle of the Bands: From 5 to 9 p.m., UK student bands will be vying for the title of best band on campus. The event is completely free and will be held outside at Haggin Field.
-Wildcat Finale: The UK Alumni Association and the Student Government Association are hosting an official graduation party for graduating seniors. From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the West Concourse of Commonwealth Stadium there will be free food and drinks, music, t-shirts and door prizes. -Free Swing Dance Practices and Lessons: From 1 to 3 p.m. the UK Swing Dance Club will host free swing dance practices and lessons in the Barker Hall Dance Studio.
-Arbor Day 2011 – ReLeaf: Renewing Your Community Forest: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arboretum, there will be a free event celebrating Arbor Day. The Mayor’s proclamation will be followed by tree planting, over 40 exhibitors, hands-on activities and crafts and free tree seedlings. Children can also meet Smokey Bear and Rosie.
