Author Daniel Hamermesh will be speaking at Memorial Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 22nd. His book “Beauty Pays” will be the subject of the lecture.
Hamermesh’s book claims that more attractive individuals are more likely to be hired, work more productively, earn a higher salary, and obtain a loan. More attractive individuals are also more likely to marry more attractive and highly educated spouses.
At the lecture Hamermesh will discuss why this happens and what it means for everyone in society.
A reception will be held prior to the lecture in the BE Atrium. The reception will start at 6 p.m.
