Singer John Legend is renowned for his music but it is his intense work to help others that will be the topic of a 7:30 p.m. talk by the musician Tuesday night at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the University of Kentucky campus.
Legend’s visit, sponsored by the UK Student Activities Board, will let audience members know about how the singer was affected by reading “The End of Poverty” and how, through work in Ghana, Somalia and through major corporate philanthropies associated with Gap and GQ, he has lent his name and work to action.
Students, faculty and staff can pick up a free tickets with a valid UK ID at the Singletary Center ticket office weekdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
