The pleasant bluegrass festival weather is drawing to a close but Stanton Ky. is squeezing in one more celebration before winter takes hold.
Powell County High School is hosting The Fairytale Festival for children of all ages Saturday November 12.
The Fairytale Festival, formerly known as Cinderella’s Ball, will feature whimsical horse drawn carriage rides, tea and cookies with Alice and the Queen of Hearts in Wonderland, and story time with Beauty and the Beast.
Children will also have a chance to meet and take pictures with fairytale characters Rapunzel, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Shrek and Fiona, Tinkerbell, Pocahontas, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine. Each child will receive a magical sack filled with gifts from each character and a souvenir autograph book. The Fairytale Boutique will also be open during festival hours.
PCHS is located at 700 W. College Avenue in Stanton Ky. Doors to the festival open at 3:00 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at any Powell County School or by phone at 606-422-6096
