J. Cole and Gym Class Heroes are the headliners for the 2012 Spring Concert. The Student Activities Board will be hosting this event at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Memorial Coliseum.
J. Cole, recently nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist, has been distinguishing himself as a presence to be known in the rap game. He quickly rose in the charts with hits such as “Work Out” and “Can’t Get Enough.” His debut album titled Cole World: The Sideline Story debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. The 24-year-old North Carolina native was the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s new Roc Nation label.
Hailing from New York, the music of Gym Class Heroes does not fit into just one genre. With hits such as “Stereo Hearts,” “Cupids Chokehold” and “Clothes Off,” the band has had four chart topping records.
