This is opening weekend for one UK sport, while others are continuing the season. See which teams are playing and where below:
- UK baseball opens at Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C. on Friday. The team plays Eastern Michigan on Saturday and University of South Carolina Upstate on Sunday, also in Spartanburg. Friday’s game starts at 4 p.m., Saturday’s at noon and Sunday’s at 3 p.m. (all Eastern time). Wofford and USC Upstate are both located in Spartanburg. Eastern Michigan is located in Jackson, Mich. All games will be broadcast on UK IMG radio.
- UK softball plays in the Florida Atlantic University Tournament in Boca Raton, Fla., this weekend. The team plays Wright State at 4 p.m. Friday and Florida Atlantic at 6 p.m. The team plays Long Island University at 9 a.m. Saturday and Michigan at 1 p.m. Its last opponent is Maryland at 11 a.m. Sunday.
- UK men’s tennis competes in the National Team Indoor Championships this weekend in Charlottesville, Va. all weekend, starting with Texas A&M at 9 a.m. Friday.
- UK women’s tennis plays Saturday against Eastern Kentucky at 10 a.m. and against Evansville at 6 p.m. Both matches are at home.
- UK men’s basketball plays at 4 p.m. Saturday against Ole Miss in Rupp Arena. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network and on UK IMG radio.
- UK women’s gymnastics meets at Georgia in Athens at 4 p.m. Saturday. The meet will be aired on Fox Sports South at 7 p.m. Feb. 25.
- UK rifle competes Saturday in a NCAA qualifier at 8 a.m. in Lexington.
- UK swimming and diving competes in the SEC Championships all day in Knoxville, Tenn. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
