A national organization that seeks to “build political power for young people” is coming to Kentucky for the first time. Rock The Vote is a musical celebration aimed at encouraging political awareness amongst young adults.
Walk The Moon, an indie rock band from Cincinnati will headline the act as entertainment, as Rock The Vote staffers will educate and enrich students with political information and resources from community and state groups.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Student Center Grand Ballroom on September 10.
Other organizations participating in Rock The Vote are UK College Democrats, UK College Republicans, UK Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, UK Students for Liberty, UK Young Americans for Liberty, and the Fayette County Republicans and Democratic Parties.
UK Student Government Association will also have voter registration available at the event.
