Assumption, George Rogers Clark earn trips to Sweet Sixteen title game

When these two teams met in January, it was settled in three overtimes.

Saturday night’s Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Sweet Sixteen championship game featured Assumption and George Rogers Clark, who needed three overtimes to decide their last meeting in January. To get to the finals at Rupp Arena on Saturday night, Assumption ousted Taylor County 48-29 in the first semifinal, and Clark County knocked off Simon Kenton 66-40 on Saturday morning.
