Simon Kenton 70, Ashland Blazer 61: Angela Kabeya scored a game-best 29 points and grabbed five rebounds in the victory, the team’s ninth straight. The Pioneers (32-2), who led the entire game, have only lost this season to two out-of-state teams. Holding onto a slim 27-24 lead in the first half, the Pioneers used a third quarter run to grab a 14-point advantage, their largest of the game. Three other players scored in double figures, including Bella Ober (14 points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals), Brynli Pernell (12 points, five rebounds, five assists) and Haylie Webb, who added 12 points and eight boards for Simon Kenton, which outrebounded the Kittens 36-28. Ashland Blazer (26-6) was led by 22 points and seven rebounds from Gabby Karle and 20 points from Brookelyn Duckwyler.
